Bhojtal Lake

Bhojtal Lake is a huge and magnificent body of water located in Madhya Pradesh and is a spectacular sight. Lying on the western side of Bhopal, there are facilities available to visitors for water sports by the club that have been established near the lake. The views of the sunset and sunrise are absolutely gorgeous from the banks and paddling and cruise rides in the lake make for a pleasant experience.

About half an hour ride from Naina Devi, this amazing lake is a part of Bhakra Dam in Bilaspur and is astoundingly large in size. This is the ideal lake to visit if you are interested in rowing or boat riding. Naina Devi and the Bhakra Dam are two places nearby that are also popular destinations of Himachal.

Famous for being the second largest artificial lake in Asia, Jaisamand Lake or Dhebar Lake, located in Udaipur, is a place offering peace and quiet to all those who visit it and is also an ideal destination for boating enthusiasts. The Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the vicinity of the lake and is one of the much-visit tourist destinations of Udaipur.

Barapani Lake

Better known as Umiam Lake, this reservoir in Shillong is touted as one of the best places to visit in Shillong because of the range of activities it offers like waterskiing, kayaking, and boat riding through the calm lake waters. It receives lesser crowds than the famous Nainital Lake and is therefor a much quieter and more relaxing place to visit in Uttarakhand. The best time to visit Rajasthan is during the monsoons as the place becomes even more lush and beautiful during this period. The hydroelectricity generating power plant located in the vicinity is truly worth a visit. The Chambal River is an absolutely amazing river and hosts a vast array of aquatic life like crocodiles, tortoises, dolphins, storks, and skimmers among many others.

Nagarjuna Sagar

Situated in the Nalgonda district of Telangana, the Nagarjuna Sagar is the ideal destination for a weekend getaway from the busy city life. Located at about 100 kilometers from Hyderabad, Nalgonda is a Buddhist center offering many tourist-friendly destinations.
